What Does Medicaid Cover?
Medicaid is NOT Medicare. Medicare is a health insurance that covers doctors visits, hospitalizations, and Part D prescription drugs. Medicaid is a long term care that covers home health (on average 15 hours per week), Assisted Living Facility costs (Medicaid provides up to $1600 per month for the ALF costs), or Nursing Home (Medicaid pays for the nursing home costs). Medicaid also pays for prescription drugs.
